A cruise and talk on board the MV Elizabethan.

London's history began with a bridge and ever since, they have defined the identity of the city. Today a new Garden Bridge is being proposed by leading designers Heatherwick Studio that will redefine the 21st century city. Starting with a river cruise, this event includes a wide-ranging discussion between the Stuart Wood (Head of Innovation, Heatherwick Studios), structural engineer Tristram Carfrae (Deputy Chair, Arup) and urban historian Leo Hollis. Together they will explore the legacy of the capital’s river crossings and highlight some of the key challenges and opportunities that face the city, and why public spaces like the Garden Bridge are so important.

With thanks to the Garden Bridge Trust.
