Brentford is one of twelve towns across the UK that will share paintings from the nation’s collection with communities beyond Trafalgar Square. The outdoor exhibition will launch on the same weekend as the Creative Mile, Brentford Art Trail weekend. Printed reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery will be exhibited across the town. Each painting will be reproduced life-sized, in fine detail and in its frame, allowing visitors the chance to look closely at the brushstrokes and discover hidden details. Outdoors and free to view, this exhibition will entwine art with the everyday. The exhibition will be influenced by this year’s Creative Mile theme of ‘love’ and be shaped by Brentford’s people, landmarks and history.
