The City of London is filled with the history of the ages which is visible as you stroll around the square mile. The foreshore provides a different viewpoint of human occupation in the area over the millennia dating from the end of the last Ice Age up to today.

People have lived, worked and traded in this area with today’s modern imprint just another step along the way.

Come and look at the remains of London’s great trading history dating back over 1400 years, as well as finding signs of how the city has survived against invaders both in recent years as well as in the past. See how, in spite of all the dangers and tragedies thrown at it, London has grown and continues to thrive today.

Accessibility

Involves stairs plus very uneven underfoot so not suitable for those in wheelchairs but possible for others with assistance.

Suitable footwear is recommended.
