A walking workshop responding to the Thames through drawing and photography, with demonstrations, discussion and the chance to try different materials and techniques.

Drawing Dark Waters brings together three London-based artists - Liz Charsley, Paul Debois and Caroline Underwood working predominantly in black and white, in response to The Thames and their explorations of the river.

Bring a sketchbook, camera or camera phone to explore the stretch of the river between Chiswick Bridge and Richmond Lock. Observe and consider the river views as they are now, imagine how they would have been in the past and what they might become in the future.

Essential info:

  • Participants are asked to bring along a sketchbook, camera or a camera phone
  • This is a two hour outdoor walking workshop so ensure you are dressed appropriately
