Join eXXpedition artist-in-residence, Jo Atherton, in a flotsam weaving workshop in the dry berth of Cutty Sark.

Learn about her beach combing activities and how discarded objects can be used to make beautiful pieces of art. This is a drop-in activity.

eXXpedition are an all-female crew on scientific research missions exploring the world’s oceans while creating inspiring narratives of female leadership and personal and environmental exploration. This summer they are completing the first continuous plastic sampling of the waters surrounding the British Isles. During the sail, the crew will trawl for plastics and toxics, and raise awareness of ocean plastic pollution in seven shore stops.
