Come and search the river walls for evidence of Hammersmith’s changing waterfront. Since the 19th century, Hammersmith has been home to a distillery, sugar refinery, lamp factory and water pump factory as well as having connections with the African slave trade. Look for evidence that tells us about these Victorian industries on the river bank and the people who worked and lived there including a member of royalty.
