Liquid History tells the story of London through 5 found objects on the shore of the River Thames.

Journey below the water and follow the river’s currents to discover objects in the deep and reveal their stories told through physical theatre and song.

Composed by Sarah Dacey, Gestlat Arts' Liquid History weaves songs from the river, sea shanties, folk song and contemporary composition together to create a beautiful reflection on what our city means. The piece was created using the knowledge collected by The Museum of London Docklands, mudlark Nick Stevens, Thames Museum and the people and children of Southend through Metal Culture.

Funded by Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, with support from Totally Thames. Liquid History is recipient of the Stephen Oliver Award 2017
