Written and staring Steve Coogan, Philomena is based on a true story of Martin Sixsmith, a world weary journalist recently sacked by the Labour Party and in need of work. He picks up the story of a woman in search of her son who was taken from her decades ago after she got pregnant, was unmarried and forced into a convent.

Enjoy open air free film screenings at the king of al fresco venues: The Scoop at More London, the riverside amphitheatre. For four weeks a mixture of current, classic and cult films will be screened (Wednesday to Friday) including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Philomena, Mandela - The Long Walk to Freedom, The Goonies, The LEGO Movie and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
