Rob Jeffries, retired Police Officer and Curator of the Thames River Police Museum, will speak about the history of the service which was initiated by Captain John Harriott and Patrick Colquhoun in 1798. Find out about the police station ship “Royalist”, water Beetles and why policemen walk the ‘beat’.
