This illustrated presentation will delve the Thames’ unique and curious history from the past to present. London’s river has been a focus for sacred rites and popular superstition since ancient times. Items covered will include the ritual deposition of artefacts, legends, ghosts, Cleopatra's Needle, Deadman's Hole, the execution of pirates and modern murders, plus river ceremonial and customs. Join City Guide Robert Stephenson to learn more.
