Walking along the riverfront from Vauxhall to Battersea, this walk covers themes such as MI6 and James Bond, the mouth of the Effra, a lost Thames tributary and London’s most notorious 18th century pleasure gardens and visits there by royalty. See the country’s tallest all-residential tower and learn about the controversy surrounding still taller buildings planned in the area. We see work in progress on the new American embassy complex and then have a close look at Battersea Power Station and the ongoing saga of its many proposed redevelopments. Not forgetting the cats and dogs, we finish at Battersea Park.
