At the newly refurbished Museum, families can now enjoy indoor and outdoor hands-on activities to learn about London's water through time and the amazing changes in technology to bring it to our taps. See massive Victorian water-pumping engines in steam, and at weekends, there's a chance to ride the Waterworks Railway! The new Waterworks Gallery takes you on a journey through time; descending deep down under a floating city of London where you can see all the pipe and tunnel work needed to keep a modern city going.
On the Saturday, the Museum will host an illustrated talk by John Porter, B.Sc., C.Eng., F.I.MarEST, and former trustee of the London Museum of Water and Steam, covering the chequered past of London’s water supply story.
