Can truth be documented by images, or by film? This diverse exhibition of video and photography situates the question of documentary truth within the context of the River Thames in historical memory.

In recent years, narrative truth has become a common feature in many artistic practices, in particular those using photographic or filmic media. The so called documentary truth of the image or more recently filmed footage is constantly called into question by the immense numbers of images that we see on a day to day basis. The departure point and analogy of the water running through the Thames creates a questioning of the reliability of imagery and the veracity of narratives intertwined within them.
