In Video: Take a Trip Back to The River

Artist Raewyn Harrison and archaeologist Mike Webber took us back to the river in a heritage project exploring how the landscape of the Bankside area has changed from an industrial centre to cultural hub through ceramics and archaeology.

Find out how Back to the River looked at the rich history of the area through workshops with children and elders, and the creation of a large-scale clay installation with the public on the foreshore that referenced the ancient tradition of placing ritual offerings into the Thames.
