The National Theatre
Hadestown comes to the National Theatre following record-breaking runs at New York Theatre Workshop and Canada’s Citadel Theatre. Whilst you’re there, head to House restaurant, located inside the theatre; whilst the Understudy craft beer pub on the ground floor is where many of the actors go for a pint post-performance – expect comfy chesterfields, board games and great ale.
Florence Nightingale Museum
Located alongside St Thomas’ Hospital on Westminster Bridge, the Florence Nightingale Museum is a hidden treasure, all about the fascinating life and legacy of the world’s most famous nurse. The museum’s latest exhibition is on the Spanish Flu, a deadly pandemic which infected half of the world’s population. The museum’s gift shop is a must visit in itself, full of medically themed gifts that are sure to surprise and delight.
