Watch: The River
Support our Work
Without the support of funders, partners and people like yourself, we wouldn’t be able to deliver our diverse programme of projects and events along the Thames and across the world.
Laurie Bolger, poet and founder of The Creative Writing Breakfast Club, worked with young people linked to the River Thames to create a new poem, celebrating the Thames’ past, present and future. The poem, This River, has been developed to mark the completion of the refreshed Thames Vision 2050, the PLA's updated development framework for the tidal River Thames.
Laurie collaborated with a group of young people through a series of workshops to shape the piece, and they were filmed reciting it on the banks of the Thames.
