Take a walk with Dr Fiona Haughey looking at close quarters the site of a shipbuilding and boat repair yard and a bustling wharf-side industry as well as examining timbers from vessels over 200yrs old on the Thames foreshore at Bermondsey. Come and see where there is evidence of human activity over 5000 years ago and decide whether a skeleton of the late medieval period found in 2002 was a victim of murder or accidental death. Look at how modern river work is respecting evidence of the past while safeguarding that of the future.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, not suitable for wheelchair access.

Site is uneven underfoot and muddy - suitable footwear is recommended.
