Explore London's illustrious shipbuilding past, a possible ancient murder and an Iron Age pot that has been recovered next to the super sewer building works.

Bermondsey Foreshore

Note the shipbuilding & boat repair yard & a bustling wharf-side industry as well as examining timbers from vessels over 200yrs old on the Thames foreshore at Bermondsey. Come and see where there is evidence of human activity over 5000 years ago and decide whether a skeleton of the late medieval period found in 2002 was a victim of murder or accidental death. Look at how modern river work is respecting evidence of the past while safeguarding that of the future

Essential Information

• Please note that this walk is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties as the foreshore is uneven and has areas of mud.

• Please wear sturdy suitable footwear such as walking boots

• Suitable for those aged 12 and above
