Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, The Classic Boat Festival 2018 will be bigger and better than ever before.

With over 40 vintage sailing and motor boats to view and explore, the Festival lets visitors chat to the boat owners and even climb on board the vessels including a number of the Dunkirk Little Ships.

In addition to the boats, St. Katharine Docks has an exciting line-up of events and internationally inspired food and drink offerings to try. Expect waterside activities like Stand-up Paddle Boarding and Canoe taster sessions, live music and an array of children’s activities at this annual fun day for the entire family.

Festival-goers will have the unique chance to tour the Thames on Lady Daphne, a historic wooden sailing vessel from 1923, where passengers can experience two lifts under the Tower Bridge.

The marina will be awash with activities throughout the festival with free kayaking taster sessions with Moo Canoes, free adult craft classes including weaving, lino cutting and printing, SKD talks about the visiting ships and the 190th anniversary of the Docks, and childrens’ story time as well as a historic Treasure Hunt hosted by Sharky & George.

Following The Whale Company’s successful River Thames paddle board challenge, they will be also be back at the Docks hosting a bottle board workshop for all ages, to promote the important mission of keeping the Thames free from plastic.
