Deptford Working Histories’ illustrated history walk uncovers the largely forgotten 'gaps' in Deptford’s local riverside industrial and naval history.

Discover what pasts its present environment has been hiding while enjoying a soothing and interesting Riverside stroll along today's Deptford Strand. The walk and talk will co-incide with a display from a current Deptford Working Histories project with local children and adults about Thames Sailing Barges that once moored or travelled to and from Deptford in recent history from across the stretches of the Thames and Medway Rivers in their thousands but which are now a rare and beautiful sight on London's River Thames.
