Meeting point is southern tip of Vale of Health pond, on Hampstead Heath

An exploration of London’s lost river, Fleet Footing is available as an album and map you can download to walk by yourself any time - or join us for a group walk. Having flowed through history as a site for religion, healing and scandal, the Fleet was gradually buried under London’s streets. But the river has left clues and hints behind: in the curves of the streets, the names of the roads, and if you know where to stop and listen, you can still hear it beneath your feet. Fleet Footing is a chance to unearth the Fleet’s rich history in an interactive and immersive experience.
