Throughout September, in support of Totally Thames, Somerset House's popular Historical Highlights walking tours will especially emphasise the importance of the River Thames to the venue throughout its history. You’ll be led through atmospheric Lightwells to the Deadhouse, take in the view from the magnificent River Terrace and hear about Frost Fairs, the Great Stink, flooding and more.

Tours last between 45 minutes and one hour.

Tour dates and times:
Thursday 4th Sept - 1.15pm and 2.45pm

Saturday 6th Sept - 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm

Thursday 11th Sept - 1.15pm and 2.45pm

Saturday 13th Sept - 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm

Thursday 25th Sept - 1.15pm and 2.45pm

Saturday 27th Sept - 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm

Tickets are free and available on the day of the tour from the Information Desk in the Seaman’s Hall, South Wing at Somerset House. The tours are popular and spaces are limited so it’s best to come early, get tickets and then visit the exhibitions before the tour starts.
