Directed by Mark Burns the programme includes The Telephone by Menotti, Der Wein by Berg, 6 Songs of a Fairytale Princess by Szymanowski and more. Featuring sopranos Laura Monagham and Joanna Foote and baritone Samuel Pantcheff, accompanied by our music director Richard Leach, 'Open the Box' promises to be a dazzling evening of opera and song, in one of London's most enchanting and atmospheric venues.

The Opera Box is en emerging opera company with an aim of exploring little performed operas, utilising small casts and staged song cycle repertoire. Our niche repertoire allows us to tour work across the country, into areas which may have little or no exposure to opera performance, providing access to a new audience who can experience opera being performed in 'box' venues, in the hope of engaging them in this rich and varied art form.

The Opera Box is very grateful to David Souden for his continued support of their work.
