The people of Limehouse are resilient and we defy the historic perceptions of the area by lifting our voices in song. Come to discover the rich and wonderful character of our area and join the community singers of Limehouse as we celebrate the river with a concert and an old fashioned East End Singalong around the piano, in the magnificent venue of St Anne's Limehouse, one of Hawksmoor's six historic English baroque churches and listed Grade 1
St Anne's was built in 1630 to serve the ships and sailors moored along the Thames and has the highest church clock in London to be visible from the river. It has many other maritime associations, including being the only building permitted to permanently fly the white ensign of the Royal
