Emergency Exit Arts, one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts companies will be bringing joy and the spectacle to the iconic Southmere Lake and many locations of interest over a fun packed weekend.
Explore an angler’s tent, a horse box, a bus, a carwash, an abbey, someone’s house – all of these will become sites for theatre, dance, art installations, storytelling, discussion and connecting.
The festival will launch on Friday evening at The Link, with a showcase of Thamesmead’s home-grown talent; Saturday will centre around the Thamesmead Country Show with a mix of old school entertainment and surprising art experiences and Sunday will see a variety of art, performances and storytelling around different venues and outdoor locations across Thamesmead’s diverse landscape and neighbourhoods.
