The River Within is a photographic exploration of the River Thames from source to sea through the seasons from the view of a kayak, a work in progress by photographer Annette Price.

This exhibition will feature the photography made in London, from underneath pontoons and bridges, exploring creaks and inside the boat builder’s yards of Eel Pie Island. By photographing from a little kayak, Annette has been able to get very close to the water to create intimate images of London from otherwise difficult or inaccessible places to sometimes photograph unusual perspectives and angles of otherwise familiar objects and places in London – from The River Within.

The Wharf Restaurant where the exhibition is being held was the Tufts Boathouse from where the Little Boats left for Dunkirk during the second World War to rescue thousands of British and French troops trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk. The Wharf Restaurant is located opposite Teddington Lock and visitors to the exhibition will be able to purchase refreshments if they choose or book a meal.
