Thames Lens 2020: Winners

There has been an extraordinary response to our Thames Lens competition this year; the quality of submissions has been awesome. We have always known that being beside water has a positive effect on our well-being. The River Thames is therefore playing its part in London's revival and this factor, I think, is reflected in many of the amazing photographs we have seen

The banks of the Thames have provided a source of respite for many through the challenging months of pandemic lockdowns. The vistas captured by Thames Lens photographers give a sense of the river that people experienced. In what continues to be a difficult time, we chose two winners which together capture a sense of optimism, which will be essential as we start towards recovery
