A little something to get you ready for Sunday
We can't wait to welcome you to THE WATERFRONT JOURNALS by David Wojnarowicz, this Sunday 6th September, down by the water at Thames Barrier Park.
Some things you should know.
CONTENT WARNINGS
The performance covers violence, homophobia, drug use, sex, suicidal ideation and psychological distress.
Look out for yourselves and each other. Take a moment to check in with yourself as you move through the performance and see what you might need to support yourself. You are welcome to move about the space and take breaks.
WEATHER
It's outdoors. So, weather depending, maybe cover up. Or maybe bring a layer you can take off. And it's promenade-style -- no seating -- so wear something you can move in, and something you don't mind getting blown by the wind. Arrive early if you'd like to take a load off somewhere elsewhere in the park first. One note: you'll need to exit the park again to reach the ticket gate, so give yourself plenty of time. We don't want you feeling rushed.
HOW TO GET TO US
By DLR (recommended)
Take the DLR to Pontoon Dock -- you'll find yourself practically at the park gate, a minute or two's walk. It's on the Beckton branch, reachable via a change at Canning Town or Poplar from central London.
On arrival
Exit the station -- there's some building work but we'll put up signs to guide you in. You'll head into the park and enter the sunken garden: a lowered walkway, hedges clipped close, leading you down toward the river...Follow this path down and we'll be waiting at ///poet.wants.vets.
The park is wheelchair and buggy friendly throughout, with step-free access and accessible toilets.
TIMINGS
Afternoon performance: 3.45pm
Evening performance: 6.30pm
Arrive fifteen minutes early -- doors open at ///poet.wants.vets fifteen minutes before it begins, and latecomers won't be admitted. The show lasts about an hour.

ONE DAY THIS KID
There will be a photographer in attendance to capture the event for ODTK / Totally Thames Festival’s promotional material. Please let the photographer know if you would not like to be featured in the photos.
