Following last year’s sell out concert series in the Bascule Chamber, composer and curator Iain Chambers returns to fill the atmospheric subterranean Victorian space at Tower Bridge with a brand new programme.

Featuring newly commissioned vocal works performed by the Marian Consort, a dynamic internationally-renowned young early music vocal ensemble, recognised for their fresh approach and innovative presentation. The Marian Consort will perform classic renaissance pieces, some exploring the phenomenon of voice-hearing.

There will also be new site-specific music, alongside specially-commissioned spoken word performances from Rae Levine plus an exclusive pre-recorded solo set by celebrated tabla player Kuljit Bhamra.

The Bascule Chamber houses Tower Bridge's huge counterweights during lifting. When the bridge is at rest, this dramatic brick-lined space stands empty. These unmissable, atmospheric concerts provide a unique way of experiencing one of Victorian engineering's greatest feats.
