An artist-led pilgrimage from Woolwich Arsenal Station to the Grade 1 listed Victorian site of the Crossness Pumping Station with Lily German where you will be encouraged to make observational drawings over the 4 mile course.

Artist Lily German will lead the group through observational drawings in response to the river, Thames Path and the Grade 1 listed Victorian architecture of Crossness Pumping Station. Meeting at Woolwich Arsenal Station follow the river closely, exploring the Thames Path and its past on our walking journey to Crossness, which sits on the river’s bank. Built in 1865 as part of Sir Joseph Bazalgette’s grand sewer network for London, Crossness Pumping Station is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering and craftsmanship.

On arrival to Crossness Pumping Station there will be an opportunity for a guided tour of the site included in ticket price.
