Counters Creek forms the boundary between Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea and has probably been a boundary marker since the Saxon period. It became a canal, and then a railway. It is still part of London’s drainage system. The walk ends at Shepherd's Bush. The course continues north going under the Westway, through Little Wormwood Scrubs and then through Kensal Green Cemetery. The upper reaches are less easily followed but some description will be given. The walk route goes through Brompton Cemetery, where the western catacombs provided a promenade overlook the stream and the orchards beyond. This walk is hosted by Hammersmith & Fulham Historic Buildings Group.
