A fun family day at Putney Embankment to celebrate recreation on the river, environmental activities on the foreshore, and awareness of the risks around this unique and outstanding natural asset threading through our capital. The day is hosted by Tideway, who are working to clean up the river by building London’s ‘super sewer’, the Thames Tideway Tunnel.

Recreation
Stand Up Paddleboarding is a rapidly growing sport with its presence on the river showing how easy it is to get onto the water. Active360 will be running a mass paddle for the initiated from Kew to Putney followed by SUP taster sessions at Putney Embankment.

Environment
Thames21 do amazing work to clean up and raise awareness of the pollution and litter on the river and they'll be running events and workshops from 10am until midday for all the family to get onto the foreshore and show it in a light you’ll not have seen before.

Safety
The river is a great asset, and thus needs respect and understanding. River-interest organisations such as the RNLI and Port of London Authority will giving demonstrations around the work they do to keep us safe, and show us some of the more fun things they get to do.
