Upper Mall and the surrounding riverside roads were once a thriving artistic community. There is a varied and exciting history to be discovered in this area with leading figures of the Arts & Crafts movement, such as William Morris, Emery Walker and JMW Turner as residents at some time. On this walking tour of the riverside you will learn about the famous faces of the area, their lives and work, and many stories of loss and of inspiration that the Thames created.
