Without the support of funders, partners and people like yourself, we wouldn’t be able to deliver our diverse programme of projects and events along the Thames and across the world.
For ten days in autumn, ten million revellers descend on the state of West Bengal for the Durga Puja festivities with its thousands of mega idols, hundreds of themed art installations and processions to the River Hooghly.
In 2018, we collaborated with the Department of Tourism, Government of West Bengal in collaboration with the British Council to present a stunning outdoor photography exhibition that provided a rare insight into the outpouring of creativity, artistic innovation and cultural celebration of Bengal’s riverine communities. It documented how Durga Puja transcended from its religious origins to offer a broad canvas that binds communities together through artistic expression, incorporating music, theatre, fashion and food.
This exhibition was featured in multiple news articles, check them out here along with some photos of the exhibition!
