Akulu graduated from the University of Malawi’s Chancellor College in 2017 with a Fine Art Major. He has since been creating and experimenting with art and making a living from his work. He works with illustrations and writing. His last project, Unkhankhu, explored the aesthetics of beauty and language. Akulu is also co-founder of a Malawian art collective known as Zaluso Arts where he manages their social media platforms, helps in event management, curating and as a visual artist.
