Becci grew up in a creative and artistic home with an alternative education that encouraged artistic engagement and development. She studied art and then attended the now legendary Dartington College of Arts, which focused heavily on cross art form collaborations and socially engaged practice.
She works with a range materials; textiles, drawing, clay, printing, photography and text based work. Becci has exhibited in various group shows in the UK and in Europe and curated exhibitions and conferences.
She founded Participate Arts with Gaby Lovatt, a community enterprise company that runs art workshops and events for communities, groups and schools. The company works in a wide range of art and craft media: recycled & found materials, 2D work and printing, simple ceramics to sculpture, felting and fabrics, etc. to build confidence, community engagement, raise awareness, educate and commemorate.
